Nigerian's Dancehall King, Patoranking premieres his first single of the year by dropping the visuals for his new track 'Another Level'.

There's no surprise as to why the soloist won VGMA's, '2015 Artiste of the year', as he has undoubtedly redefined the Nigerian music Industry with his new reggae-dancehall vibe. His musical influences from legends such as Bob Marley, Buju Bantaon and Fela Kuti is clearly reflected in his sensational fresh and dynamic sound.

The video dropped on Saturday 6th February as has received such a phenomenal response with over 23,000 views in less than 24 hours. It was directed by Matt Alonzo, one of the hottest video directors who has worked with some of the baddest names in the game including, French Montana, Tyrese and Ray J. The clean cut visuals displays the star's lavish lifestyle as it is filled with private jets, mansions and Bentleys.

Produced by WizzyPro, the song pertains to his usual Yoruba, Pidgin English & Patois nature. The singer-songwriter uses the track as a representation of his blessings and success. His shows his faith by thanking God repeatedly and acknowledging how much God has helped him elevate to 'another level'. The track is inspirational as Patoranking uses his past struggles to show his fans that hard work really does pay off. This will be one of the many tracks that he performs at SMADEAFROFEST in March and we're certainly very excited!

The Afrobeat Movement

Afrobeat is evolving and becoming a sound that people from different parts of the world can enjoy. What used to be a fusion of jazz and Niger beats with a bit of highlife is now becoming a sound with wider influences from Hip Hop, Funky house and RnB. This genre seems to be growing at such a rapid speed and everyone wants a piece of the cake. It has become a musical phenomenon as well as a movement that has gained worldwide recognition. DJs in all parts of the world are playing the uplifting beats of Africa. Afrobeat nightclubs are beginning to have a major impact on the UK nightlife, as there continues to be an increasing number of clubs appearing across the Nation.

The rise of the industry is evident through the interest of Western rappers like Kanye West who signed the Nigerian artist D'Banj, Davido recently signing an international record deal with Sony and Jay Z summoning his cousin Brian ‘Bee-High’ Biggs to go and scout musical talent in Nigeria. Aside from this, a collaboraion between Drake and Wizkid seemed unimaginable, but there's no denying that the 'Ojuelegba' remix was pure genius. These progressions and achievements prove that Afrobeat is here to stay and leave an impact on our culture like Hip Hop has done.

It can be said that the foundational success of this infectious sound that is dominating the world is largely down to the Nigerian musical legend Fela Kuti, who coined the term 'Afrobeat'. Today, the genre has evolved with a funky upbeat. The rhythm and hype keeps this genre of music so vibrant and often makes non-natives forgot about the language barrier.

The sounds of Africa have been particularly embraced by the UK. There's been a wave of new UK Afrobeat artists from the diaspora who are seeking the depths of their culture through music. Second generation brits are now comfortably embracing their native languages and expressing pride in their cultures.

SMADE Entertainment has spotted the potential growth within Afrobeat from the very beginning. Which is why we seek to empower the Afrobeat scene by giving everyone a platform to showcase their talents. Allowing a combination of UK Afrobeat mixed with international artists on the same stage at SMADEAFROFEST shows our dedication towards creating new trends and constantly making magic.

We invite you to join us on this positive journey and be part of this musical revolution.

The Pursuit of Perfection

When it comes to parties, concerts and everything Afrobeats SMADE Entertainment is approved by many and we are undeniably at the top of our game. We are accredited and commended for our ability to always deliver a great experience and thus remain at the forefront as one of today's best event organisers.

Just when it seemed like we had done it all already, in January 2016 we announced SMADE Easter Fest which is set to be our grandest Afrobeat concert yet with not one, not two but three headlining acts! Nigerian soloist Patoranking will be joined by patnering hit maker Wande Coal performing one of 2015's chart-busters 'My Women, My Everything' along with several other bangers. Also taking the stage will be ladies man Kiss Daniel, renowned for his recent hits like 'Woju' , 'Laye' and 'Raba'. The audience will be captivated through live band performances conducted by The Composers. Other acts include the likes of Maleek Berry and Stunnah Gee. This will all be taking place Easter Bank Holiday on March 28th 2016.

After a dramatic close to 2015 with two sold out concerts back to back, it’s no surprise why loyal fans and other fascinated spectators are highly anticipating this show. More than a month to go and it seems that UK Afrobeat lovers can not wait for the biggest show so far this year, with over 500 early bird tickets sold already.

It's no wonder the fans are reminiscent of the past shows, it's sure to say that they were left with very vivid memories. The WizkidUK Tour in 2014 was literally a movie; the Starboy had every fan in the arena dancing to his all his classics. He had up to 4 outfit changes, which show the long list of hits the singer, had to perform. But the fire blazing performances during the Davido UK concert in September 2015 left fans flabbergasted and exceeded their expectations. We then took the stakes to another level with several shut down performances by YBNL only a month later in October 2015.

What to expect from this show? Mind blowing performances and a concert that will make you fall in love with Afrobeats f you haven't done so already!

SMADE Entertainment is always creating the unexpected and this couple with a passion for driving the Afrobeats scene simply means that we're about to have yet another successful show.
